Where it all began...

Felipe Morales came to the United States in the early 1970’s.  He was making Chicago his home.  A couple of years later, Maria Morales came to Chicago to join him.

In the late 1970’s, they were expecting their first child.  They made the decision to move to Moline, Illinois.  With a child on the way, they felt that raising children away from Chicago and near family was a better option.

The Morales’s went on to having 6 kids who were all born in the Quad Cities.

Like all families, there are many stories from here.

Unfortunately, as of 2023…. Only Maria, the oldest son Jose and 2 daughters Lupe and Elizabeth remain walking on this earth.

The youngest son Felipe passed away in 2007.  From there, life was not the same and the losses continued.

Their daughter Sandra (July 2021) and son Ricardo (January 2022) also passed away within months from each other.  

A year and a half later on July 11, 2023, Felipe passed away.
